This body of work, titled Passage, explores the intersections of memory, narrative, and perception. Each piece is informed by oral histories, personal recollections, quotidian encounters, and sustained observations of the natural world. These source materials are abstracted and reinterpreted through a visual language that seeks to distill meaning beyond the literal.

The circular format functions as a symbolic container—evoking notions of continuity, cycles, and the passage of time. Within each composition, architectural cut-out forms disrupt the surface, operating as thresholds or portals. These openings suggest access to layered interior spaces—spaces of contemplation and transition. Conceptually, they offer viewers an invitation to enter, question, and reframe their own experiences in relation to the work.

Rather than illustrating fixed narratives, Passage proposes an open structure in which meaning is fluid and participatory. The work foregrounds process, both visual and cognitive, as an integral component of its engagement with the viewer.
